In this interview, Marcelin Joanis (Polytechnique Montréal, CIRANO) presented on Radio-Canada the results of the CIRANO report "Plan québécois des infrastructures : comparaison interprovinciale et soutenabilité", prepared with Pierre-Carl Michaud (HEC Montréal, CIRANO), Louis Lévesque (CIRANO), Jonathan Brasseur and Quentin Winstel.

He explains the study's two sustainability concepts, i.e. infrastructural sustainability and fiscal sustainability.

In this report, the authors conclude that planned investments are unlikely to be sufficient to support the rapidly growing asset maintenance deficit.
