CIRANO, in collaboration with Équiterre, Polytechnique Montréal and HEC Montréal, presented the results of its study on SUV purchase motivations in Canada
tw Ingrid Peignier, Senior Director of Partnerships and Research Valorization and Projects Director at CIRANO, is a co-author of this study, which was unveiled during a series of webinars on April 8 and May 4. The CIRANO report on SUV purchase motivations will be released on May 17 and a CIRANO research seminar will be held on June 16, 2021.

Evolution of the share of public health expenditures in the budget of the Ministère de la Santé et des Services Sociaux between 2004 and 2019
tw This report by Roxane Borgès Da Silva, Alexandre Prud'homme, Pierre-Jacques Deblois, Jean-François Labadie and Erin C. Strumpf analyzes the evolution of MSSS expenditures by program in current dollars, constant dollars and according to a minimum required level of expenditure increase based on the consumer price index specific to health and personal care over the period 2004 to 2019, with a particular focus on the public health program. The results show uneven growth in spending across the different MSSS programs over this period.

tw This conference on the perception of risk and prevention behaviors in the context of COVID-19 was jointly organized by CIRANO, the Centre de recherche en santé publique de l'Université de Montréal et du CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l'Ile-de-Montréal (CReSP), the Laboratoire d'économie expérimentale de l'Université Laval (LEEL), and the Disability, Employment, and Public Policies Initiative (DEPPI). It brought together many CIRANO researchers, professionals and students.

These are some of the questions that will be addressed by the speakers during this virtual day of reflection organized by the Chaire en fiscalité et en finances publiques (CFPP), in collaboration with the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) and the Ordre des CPA du Québec.
