The Department of Economics of Université Laval, in collaboration with CIRANO, hold the second edition of the event "Women in Economics". The event took place on May 5, 2023, in the presence of Julie Gingras, Deputy Minister of Finance.

The event will be held in two parts:

  • The first presentation was dedicated to emerging research in gender economics. Hajar El Khoudri, a PhD student, presented her work on "Public policies that reduce gender conformity: The Quebec experience". Laëtitia Renée, Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal, offered some comments on the paper presented.
  • The second part welcomed Marlène Koffi, Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto who will present her work in gender economics.
