CIRANO is organizing two symposiums as part of annual conferences this spring

As part of the Acfas Conference at the University of Ottawa from May 13 to 17, 2024, CIRANO is organizing a symposium on the valorization and sharing data for value chains in the St. Lawrence-Great Lakes trade corridor. Chaired by Nathalie De Marcellis-Warin (Polytechnique Montréal), the symposium will bring together Patrick Leblond (University of Ottawa), Julien Martin (ESG-UQAM), Dalibor Stevanovic (ESG-UQAM), Thierry Warin (HEC Montréal), Jeremy Schneider (CIRANO), Valérie Bélanger (HEC Montréal) and Aïchata Souleymane Koné (CIRANO).

CIRANO is also organizing a special session to celebrate CIRANO's 30th anniversary at the Canadian Economics Association's annual meeting at the Toronto Metropolitan University from May 30 to June 1, 2024. The round table, moderated by Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin (Polytechnique Montréal), will bring together five CIRANO researchers and Fellows to discuss how economic expertise can influence policy: Marie Connolly (ESG-UQAM), Marcelin Joanis (Polytechnique Montréal), Pierre-Carl Michaud (HEC Montréal), Kevin Moran (Université Laval) and Dalibor Stevanovic (ESG-UQAM). Researchers from across Canada will also take part in the panel. Of notable interest: Erin Strumpf (McGill University) will be giving one of the prestigious State of the Art lectures.
