We were delighted to welcome Mrs. Ana Escrogima, Consul General of the United States in Montreal, at CIRANO on June 1, as part of the Campus USA “Global Technological Innovation”. 

This course, given by Thierry Warin, full professor at HEC Montréal, researcher and CIRANO Fellow, began in Montreal and will continue in Washington, D.C., and New York City, with the main objective of studying how global technological innovation impacts our societies.

During this first stage in Montreal, the students explored the ecosystem of those making and interested in Artificial Intelligence. Ana Escrogima presented the US technology economy. The students also had the chance to hear John Parisella, special advisor on strategy and outreach at NATIONAL Public Relations, talk about American politics. Thierry Warin gave a presentation on the economics of technology platforms.
