Publication of the book Le Québec économique 9 : Perspectives et défis de la transformation numérique
New free digital edition


In its ninth edition, Le Québec économique focuses on the opportunities and challenges related to digital transformation. It brings together the work of 44 researchers from CIRANO and other institutions.

This edition was written under the scientific direction of Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin and Benoit Dostie and under the coordination of Genevieve Dufour.

The book is available for free online here.

In memory of Claude Castonguay
tw CIRANO Researchers would like to pay tribute to Claude Castonguay, former Minister of Health, Minister of Family and Social Welfare, Minister of Social Affairs. Claude Castonguay was a CIRANO Invited Fellow between 2007 and 2013 when he wrote his book Santé : l'heure des choix.

Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin and Fabian Lange participated in the Royal Society of Canada Economic Recovery Task Force on COVID-19
tw Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin, Full Professor at Polytechnique Montréal and President and Chief Executive Officer of CIRANO, and Fabian Lange, Associate Professor at McGill University and Main Researcher of the theme Skills at CIRANO, participated in this Task Force which published a report entitled "Renewing the Social Contract: Economic Recovery in Canada from COVID-19".

Launch of the Bourstad 2021 Challenge
Tuesday, January 19, 2021
CIRANO and its main partner for this activity, Autorité des marchés financiers, will pay tribute to the winners of the 2020 edition and launch the registration campaign in the 34th edition of the Bourstad Stock Market Challenge. The challenge is taken each year by thousands of participants (students and general public) who manage a virtual portfolio of $ 200,000 and invest this amount in various investment vehicles. By invitation only.
