Biography

A CIRANO Researcher and Fellow since 2014, Sylvie St-Onge is Full Professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal.

Holding a Ph.D. in Management (Organizational Behaviour and Industrial Relations) from the Schulich School of Business at York University, her research interests are compensation management, performance management, work life management, governance and HRM challenges (work-family balance, diversity, harassment, burnout).

Sylvie St-Onge was Editor-in-Chief of Gestion Magazine (2007-2013), Senior Compensation Advisor for Mercer (2006-2007) and Director of Research at HEC Montréal (2001-2004).

She is constantly writing articles in scientific, business, professional and government journals as well as case studies. Over the years, her involvement in scientific and professional circles has also been numerous and ongoing. She regularly gives conferences and training sessions in professional and academic circles in Quebec and abroad. She is involved as a trainer at the Collège des administrateurs de société.

In recognition of the quality of her contributions, she has received several awards. In addition, she was awarded a Bourse d'excellence en enseignement de l'administration by the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (2009-2014).
