On February 27, 2020, Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin, CEO of CIRANO, participated in the breakfast seminar organized by the Institute of Corporate Directors - Quebec Chapter on the theme "The Processing of Personal Data: What the Board Needs to Know". Beside her on the panel moderated by Anne-Marie Hubert, Quebec Managing Partner, EY, were Guy Cormier, President and CEO of Desjardins Group, and Suzanne Gouin, Chair, Canada Revenue Agency Board of Management.

 

The opportunity for Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin to present CIRANO's research, liaison and transfer mission to the directors of Quebec companies, as well as to present:

  • the main principles of the Montreal Declaration for a Responsible Development of Artificial Intelligence;
  • the establishment and work of the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies with the Fonds de recherche du Québec;
  • the example of the France-Canada collaboration on artificial intelligence and insurance with the Institut de la technologie pour l'humain - Montréal.
