Michel Magnan appointed Distinguised Member of the Quebec Order of Excellence in Education

Michel Magnan, CIRANO Fellow, Professor and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Corporate Governance at Concordia's John Molson School of Business, was appointed Distinguished Member of the Québec Order of Excellence in Education on June 15.

 

Mr. Sébastien Proulx, Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports, and Ms. Hélène David, Minister responsible for Higher Education, have jointly appointed six personalities from the fields of Education and Higher Learning in the Montérégie area during the first Québec Order of Excellence in Education ceremony.

 

Recently created by the Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports, the Québec Order of Excellence in Education is tangible proof of the Québec government’s desire to officially recognize the merits of those who have distinguished themselves by their contribution to the improvement of education in the province. It encompasses all levels of education, from early childhood studies to university level, for both private and public education networks of all regions. It comprises three tiles, Member, Distinguised Member, and Emeritus Member.
