Marie Connolly is the new Vice-Dean of Research at ESG UQAM

Congratulations to Marie Connolly, full professor in the Department of Economics at ESG UQAM, CIRANO researcher and Fellow, for her appointment as Vice-Dean of Research at ESG UQAM.

 

Holder of a PhD in Economics from Princeton University, Professor Connolly is a CIRANO Fellow and Researcher since 2009. She sits on scientific boards and the steering committee of the Centre d'étude sur la pauvreté et l'exclusion du Québec.

Her research is mainly empirical in nature and focuses on various topics related to labour economics, such as social mobility, human capital formation, gender wage gaps, subjective well-being, women's participation in the labour market and public policy evaluation. She is also interested in the economics of popular music, including the resale of concert tickets and the environmental practices of rock bands.

 

Her work has been published in the Journal of Labor Economics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and the Canadian Journal of Economics, among others.
