Each year, CIRANO, in collaboration with the Ministère des Finances du Québec, proposes an academic competition aimed at finding innovative and rigorous solutions to current public policy issues.

The 2022 edition of the CIRANO Fiscal Policy Challenge focused on «The Impact of the Rising Cost of Living».

This year's winner is Athena Paramithiotis, a student from McGill University. For her work and involvement in the competition, Athena was awarded a prize of $1000.
