Pierre-Carl Michaud elected Member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College

Pierre-Carl Michaud, professor at HEC Montréal, main researcher of the theme Demography and Health and Vice-President Strategy and Government Relations at CIRANO has been elected this year a Member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists by a committee of peers.

The scholars and artists selected were chosen by the RSC for their outstanding contribution to Canadian intellectual life.

Pierre-Carl Michaud is recognized worldwide in the field of the economics of demographic change. He holds the Research Chair in intergenerational economics and is the Director of the Retirement and Savings Institute at HEC Montréal. In his research, he is particularly interested in questions related to health as well as personal and public finances combining dynamic programming, econometrics and microsimulation.
