What are the major tax and financial issues that will occupy the federal election campaign: reducing inequalities, combating climate change, tax treatment of e-commerce or public debt management? These are just a few examples of issues on which citizens need to be informed and on which political parties need to make proposals to enable voters to make informed choices.

The Chaire en fiscalité et finances publiques invited the five main political parties to present their vision on the following themes: government objectives and public finance, tax changes and budget management, as well as to present the financial framework underlying the government's proposals they hope to form. This was followed by a question and answer period.
