The 53rd Annual Conference of the Canadian Economics Association was held Friday May 31st to Sunday June 2nd, 2019 at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
The conference was hosted by the University of Calgary. Conference highlights included Catherine Wolfram (University of California, Berkeley) and Nathan Nunn (Harvard University). William Rogerson (Northwestern University) gave a special presentation untitled "The competitive effects of vertical mergers" during the CIRANO-JDI-Phelps-RIIB Invited Lecture on Competition Policy and Regulation, on Friday, May 31st.
