The year 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the Chaire en fiscalité et en finances publiques, held by Luc Godbout, professor at the Université de Sherbrooke and CIRANO Researcher and Fellow. 2023 also marks the 50th anniversary of the Master's degree in Taxation at the Université de Sherbrooke.

To mark these anniversaries, a major event was held on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

On the programme: a day of reflection on public finance, discussions on 50 years of taxation, and a number of experts, including Marcelin Joanis, Professor at Polytechnique Montréal and CIRANO Researcher and Fellow.
