Biography

A CIRANO Researcher since 2021, Jason Robert Guertin is Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval. He is also a Researcher in the Population Health and Best Practices in Health Axis of the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec-Université Laval Research Centre.

Holding a Ph.D. in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic from Université de Montréal, his research interests focus on the various components of the evaluation and economic revaluation of health technologies in observational settings. More recently, his work has focused on the development of new methods to improve the quality of economic evaluations in observational settings, the evaluation of the impact of chronic diseases on the quality of life of patients in Quebec and Canada, and the economic evaluation of health technologies in the field of precision medicine.
