Frédéric Marty is a research fellow at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS, France). He is attached to the Research Group in Law, Economics and Management (GREDEG - Université Côte d'Azur) in Sophia-Antipolis. He is also a researcher at the EPPP Chair of the IAE in Paris (Sorbonne Business School) and affiliated to the Innovation and Competition Department of OFCE (Sciences Po Paris). As a law economist, his work focuses on competition policies. He co-directs the law component of GREDEG and its structuring project SRM (Market Strategies and Regulations).

Former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (Paris-Saclay) in the Department of Economics and Management, he was seconded to the Ministry of Defense (Economic Observatory of Defense) before joining the CNRS. He completed his doctorate at the ENS de Cachan under the direction of Robert Salais and his habilitation to direct research in economics at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis under the direction of Jean-Luc Gaffard.
He teaches at the Côte d'Azur University, Aix-Marseille University, the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (Turin) and the Toulouse Business School. Since 2010, he has been co-leader of the Unilateral Practices i> column of Concurrences i>.
He is the author of numerous academic publications. His current research focuses on economics and competition law, particularly in the digital sector. He has also worked on the economics of complex long-term administrative contracts.
