Biography

A CIRANO Researcher since 2009, Jacques Forest is Full Professor in the Department of Organization and Human Resources at the École des sciences de la gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal. He is also an organizational psychologist and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

Holding a Ph.D. in Work and Organizational Psychology from the Université de Montréal, his research uses the theory of self-determination to try to find out how it is possible to reconcile performance and well-being in a sustainable way.

He was awarded a prize in the Association francophone pour le savoir (ACFAS) science popularization competition in 2006 and the ESG UQAM Emerging Faculty Award in 2011.

He has published 34 scientific articles and 15 book chapters, and has given more than 100 media presentations and over 250 conferences and training sessions in companies.

He is one of the authors of the Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale, a research and intervention tool available in French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Dutch, Greek, Norwegian, Swedish, German, Croatian, Lithuanian, Turkish, Estonian, Catalan, Czech, Arabic, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Chinese.
