Labor Economics, Evaluation of Public Policies, Inequalities and Poverty, Public Economics


Researcher and CIRANO Fellow since 2008 Samir Amine is a full professor in the Department of Industrial Relations at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and an associate professor at Université Laval and other European universities, particularly French universities (Université du Havre, Université de Caen).

D. in economics, his research interests focus on labour economics and the evaluation of public policies on the labour market. In recent years, he has published several articles in highly recognized scientific journals such as Journal of Economics, Spanish Ecnomic Review, Research in Economics. His research has been funded by the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC, ranked 5th in the last 2012 competition) as well as by other international organizations such as the French Institute for Human and Social Sciences. He is also a member of the editorial board of several journals such as Theoretical Economics Letters and International Journal of Accounting and Economics Studies.
