Biography

Jörgen Hansen is a Professor of Economics at Concordia University. His research interests include education, welfare, immigration, and labour supply. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the Göteborgs Universitet, Sweden, in 1997. Prior to joining the faculty at Concordia, he held a postdoctoral fellowship at Centre de recherche et développement en économique (C.R.D.E.), Université de Montréal, and served as a researcher at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) at the University of Bonn. Jörgen Hansen also holds appointments as research fellow at IZA and research associate at CIRANO and CIREQ. His work has been published in journals such as Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Population Economics, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics and Empirical Economics.
