Sustainable Development and Agri-Food
The Sustainable Development and Agri-Food theme brings together researchers interested in carbon pricing, the agriculture and bio-food sector, the circular economy, energy issues, and environmental and climate risk management.
These different sub-themes provide a wide variety of research questions related to sustainable development. The inclusion of the agricultural sector in sustainable development raises several challenges and issues related to new technologies and new practices, in addition to questioning our relationship to food and territory. The circular economy and the adoption of so-called clean technologies are also part of this major theme. As for energy issues, we are talking about energy policies, the transformation of electrical systems, energy trade or decarbonization scenarios. Finally, this theme also covers issues of climate risk management and transportation of hazardous materials.
