Several CIRANO Researchers took part in the committee of economic experts for Montreal's economic recovery

Several CIRANO Researchers participated in the committee of economic experts mandated by the City of Montréal to find ways to boost the city's economy:

Luc Godbout, Holder of the Chaire de recherche en fiscalité et en finances publiques at Université de Sherbrooke, Committee's Chairman

Raquel Fonseca, Professor at ESG UQAM and Co-Holder of the Research Chair in Intergenerational Economics

Pier-André Bouchard St-Amant, Professor at ÉNAP

Lota D. Tamini, Professor at Université Laval

To drive the economic recovery, the City of Montréal should intensify its support for businesses, promote public transit and obtain from Québec the possibility of incurring a deficit. This is what their report published on June 2, 2020 recommends.
