Biography

A CIRANO Researcher and Fellow since 2012, Denis Latulippe is Full Professor at the School of Actuarial Science at Université Laval. He is also Coordinator of the Pole on Retirement Applied Research (Finance Montréal), Director of the Chair of Actuarial Science at Université Laval and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.

Holding an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval, a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, his teaching and research activities focus on retirement and social security issues.

He also participates in the work of chairs on financial services and demographic change and actively collaborates on the work of boards and working groups of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, in addition to chairing a pension committee and serving as a director of a reinsurance company.

Having first gained experience in the private sector, he also acted as a senior official with the Government of Quebec and the United Nations.
