Too Big to Fail Financial Institutions ?
International Perspectives and Possible Remedies

This academic symposium will be constituted of a mix of academics and practitioners from several regions with different experiences before and during the recent financial crisis (U.S., Canada, E.U.). It promises to be a very exciting and lively event with interesting debates. Our belief is that out of this dialogue can emerge very concrete and meaningful policies that would preclude the need for large government-led rescues in the future.
Beyond the traditional debate driven by only financial arguments, we want to add two levels of analysis : an Industrial Organization perspective and a Political Economy perspective.

"We would like to inform our attendees that the Chatham House rule will be applied: participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed."
